Scaleway - PAR1 - Network Hardware Upgrade - Scheduled Maintenance

Region : Paris DC2 Time : 26th of March between 1 and 7am GMT

A hardware maintenance will be carried out on our Scaleway network links, this maintenance will impact PAR1 platforms isolating them from our network backbone. Impact should be limited as our network capacity should be high enough to handle traffic during this time.

This maintenance will be conducted on the 26th of March between 1am and 7am GMT and this status will be updated accordingly.

What is done : Electrical maintenance

Annual equipment checks have shown the need to proceed with an electrical maintenance on the indicated rack. The power will be switched to the secondary input so there should be no impact. The maintenance will last 30 minutes.

Impact : no impact for customer

Maintenance will be carried out on our network link between AMS and PARIS, no impact on the public network, but this maintenance may impact the RPN link between AMS/PAR

We are checking network cables. There might be a slight disconnections for a few seconds.

New cable configuration needs to be set. Minor disconnection might happen.

DC5, ROOM: 1 1 RACK: D31, BLOCKS: F, G, H, I, J were down for about 2 minutes due to human error. The situation has been fixed, all the servers now answer correctly. We apologize for this event. Everything is back to normal.

We are scheduling a maintenance affecting all Scaleway AMS1 Compute related APIs the 12th of March at 8:30am CEST. The maintenance will last 5 to 10 minutes.

All operations going through these APIs will be unavailable during this time period.

We are scheduling a maintenance affecting all Scaleway PAR1 Compute related APIs the 12th of March at 8:45am CEST. The maintenance will last 5 to 10 minutes.

All operations going through these APIs will be unavailable during this time period.

Global Backbone [Network] Backbone deconnection

Part of the traffic lost on our public facing network due to crash of one of our backbone device during basic ops.

There was one deconnection, it is now stabilized, we are monitoring the network to prevent it to happen again. Our teams are investigating the issue with constructor.

This is now stable. We will keep on investigating this matter with our constructor but there is no production issue anymore.

Monday 11th March 2019

DC2 DHCP issue in Room 205

There is an ongoing DHCP issue affecting some racks in DC2 Room 205 which may cause installations and rescue boots to fail.
Our teams are investigating the issue.
