Postmortem

From 16H47 UTC to 17h17 UTC a low level API managing the lifecycle of block storage volumes (creation, deletion, snapshots) experienced issues following an automatic certificate renewal.

Certificate was first renewed manually by our engineers to quickfix the API and then the underlying automatic process was patched.

Volumes already in production were not impacted performance or availability wise.

Investigating

Creation of new volumes and instances using block storage on this AZ is blocked for now.
No impact for block storage volume already in use and attached to instances.
Our team is investigating.
